The day Eh Dah Lay arrived in the U.S. was the first time he had ever seen snow. Or skyscrapers. Or traffic. Or a sandwich (his first meal in America). But adjusting to culture shock wasn’t the biggest challenge for this young Karen refugee and his family. Of all the struggles faced by refugees, isolation and loneliness are perhaps the worst. Many give up their faith because they have nowhere to worship and no one to fellowship with in their heart language.
Right now, there is an urgent need for more refugee and immigrant church planters, pastors, and Bible workers right here in America! Your support for ASAP’s Refugee Scholarship Fund helps young people like Eh Dah Lay get the training they need to fill this critical void.
