Sometimes people freeze when they are scared, in trouble or intoxicated. They let something bad happen because they don’t know what else to do…especially when it comes to sexual assault.

1 in 3 women have experienced some form of sexual assault in their lives and so many of these women didn’t know what to do in that situation. This is about one of those three girls who were affected and her feelings afterwards.

The feeling of shock as it happens is overwhelming which is why the reaction of freezing happens. After the sexual assault has occurred, the worst part is regretting not having done anything. As the memories of the experience haunt your mind, you constantly feel at fault despite you actually being the victim. Processing the event can sometimes be complicated, and sometimes you have trauma that you didn’t even know existed until you start scrubbing your body because you feel so dirty. You begin to view yourself differently even though you’re trying to block out the thought that it even happened. Through symbolism this film shows how broken and damaged you feel.
