(a lullaby for the land)
.
Though a storm is passing..it hasn’t stopped the weather. As we move through the world shifting again, its an opportunity to leave behind things we don’t need so our planet can repair itself. Keep the pace. Slow down. Hold ground. Heal.

“the forests are falling
the coral, to stone-
there is fire
and flood
and this room.
the sky cannot hold itself
the soil, turned to water-
the creatures are force fed
then tortured
then slaughtered.
the insects continue
unaware of the war
I will know that I missed them
when there were flowers before..
will I still have
the memory of beauty?
will the children still grow up
with safe soil to grow food in-
there are holes in this world
that don’t want me to feel
I can’t hold a human
to know we’re both real-
the mountains look over us smiling
wondering
if they don’t make it
I wonder what will come next
the sky dances rolling over itself
knowing all too well
how easy it is
to disapear..”
